New Journey!

Happy New Week, New School Year, New Beginnings, New Failures, New Triumphs! For The Black HR Department it’s a new logo, new blog, & new topics.

For the new logo I worked with Blackwell Graphics and it was not just an awesome working experience, but a very considerate one.

According to the Supreme Court Historical Society, 20 goose-quill pens, neatly crossed, are placed at the four counsel tables each day the U.S Supreme Court is in session (Wiki).

Since I feel like Black and Brown people are disproportionately victims of an unfair justice system, an America that created & continue to uphold these systems of racism & a president that uses these very same systems as a tool of divisiveness, why not take the tool used to “write” their wrongs on our own terms.

The Black HR Department is intended to be a space to cover HR topics that affect Black people. It’s not meant to be politically correct, will use African-American vernacular, and will not be unapologetically Black af.

I hope that you will take this journey with me as I navigate the workspace thru the lens of HR & how that journey can make an impact on our daily lives as parents, spouses, family, friends, & culture.

Sending Love, Blessings, & Big Thangs Poppin,

The Black HR Department
